Accountable's Process to Reinforce Addiction Recovery and Prevent Relapse
Meet your Accountable Coach
Your Accountable Recovery Specialist, a peer in long term recovery, will meet you via Video Chat to explain the program, review your questionnaire, create your initial recovery goals, and answer any questions.
Add Your Team (Clinicians, Family, and Friends)
Your Accountable Recovery Specialist will walk you through adding your care team to your portal. This will help your clinical team coordinate care, provide your family members with peace of mind, and give them all the ability to celebrate your achievements!
Video Chat and Text Based Recovery Coaching
You will meet with your Accountable Recovery specialist over video chat at least weekly in your first year of recovery. Additionally, you can chat with your Accountable Recovery Specialist over text message at any time.
Remote Toxicology and Breathalyzer Screening
As an additional form of Accountability we will ask you to take a saliva drug test over video chat, or provide a breathalyzer sample with a frequency defined by your plan. We will use this as a time for you to check in with your Accountable Recovery Specialist for a tele-coaching session as well!
Get Involved in our Recovery Community
As an Accountable Member you become part of our family. You will have lifetime access to our online recovery meetings, and online communities. Together, we do recover!
Why Accountability as a Service For Addiction
Accountable was borne out of the experience Matthew Serel, an experienced tech entrepreneur, and AJ Diaz, a Licensed Social Worker, had when they both embarked on their own journey towards recovery years ago.
Both Matt and AJ were incredibly lucky to find supportive acute treatment for their substance use disorder. However, at a certain point, that level of care came to an end.
They wanted to have someone in addition to 12 step and peer support programs to help them stay accountable towards their goals in recovery and life without the continued time commitment and expense of intensive or residential treatment. Unfortunately, no such service existed at the time.
Our mission is to support individuals as they discover the beautiful life of sustainable recovery that we have been blessed with.
